I'm in the Newspaper!!

I was happy to hear I made it into the Nutley Sun paper today. My brother had called and told me his friend saw the article. It is so exciting for me to see my art, in color, in a newspaper!

Hope you enjoy reading it!

My art is being shown at Nutley Public Library for April!

Hi, I am excited that this month my art is being shown at the NJ Nutley Public Library! It is my first local showing.

If you are in the area, stop by! It features a lot of my smaller ACEO art, my book - 'The Rats of Summer', bookmarks, postcard size and some of my larger paintings, including my newest 5x7 'Rattie Reunion II', which I will post on eBay after the show.

Thanks for stopping by!

Ratties at the Beach art

My newest drawing is a 2x8 inch panoramic of seven rats frolicking at the beach which is for sale now on eBay. Clicking the picture will take you there. I plan to do more of these.

I have been adding more items to my Zazzle and Etsy stores too! See links to the right to visit.

Hope you all have a happy and safe 4th of July and remember our soldiers.

Thanks for visiting.

Drawings, ACEOs, prints and t-shirts

I have listed a few new items on eBay in the last week or so. Here is an 8x10 charcoal drawing I did of my cat Bone. It was nice to loosen up and sketch. In my younger years charcoal was my favorite medium, although it was black charcoal on white paper, so it is fun to do again.

I've found a printing place I like so am now offering prints of some earlier art and should have more to offer late next week.

Another venture is t-shirts. Besides drawing and painting I am also involved in screen printing and have finally put a rat on a t-shirt. Markus, the cool rat is the chosen one and printed on the front of a black 100% cotton Gildan t-shirt with the saying Rats are Cool.

And last but not least is ACEO theme week with 'The Color Red' as the theme. With valentine's day so close it seemed logical to do some red heart balloons held by a rat with a red scarf.

I am also happy that the snow storm that was heading my way missed me and there is now snow to shovel! Yay!!!

June NFAC

Yesterday, June 20, was the start of the NFAC (Nibblefest) contest on eBay. This month the theme is 'Things with Tails'. That is a good theme for me since I mostly do rats and cats and they both have tails. To add something a bit different though I choose to have my rat flying a kite, which also has a tail.

Little rattie looks happy to be out on a beautiful day, flying his kite, without a care in the world. To see more themed art search NFAC on eBay. All NFAC art starts at 99¢ and can be any size.

I will be listing more ACEOs tonight. I have one finished and will be working on more today.

Today marks the start of summer, although with the cooler temperatures and rain, you wouldn't guess it in my area. Since heat and humidity are the worst weather combo and a staple of summer life in NJ, I prefer this cooler weather even if it comes with rain.

Hope you are having a nice start to your summer.

ACEO Theme Week for June

It's that time! ACEO theme week. This month the theme is Summer Garden and I managed to get two done. Click on the images to read the stories.

It was a beautiful day here in good old NJ. I hope the weather stays decent for a while, I can't stand humidity.

It's getting late and I am getting sleepy so I will add more tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by.

NibbleFest time on eBay

Every month on eBay the NibbleFest group, founded and run by platypus, has an art contest. Art of any size is listed at 99¢ and is based on a pre-choosen theme for that month. For example, this month is Christmas Trees, next month will be Chickens, so if you love chickens, check out NFAC December 20th.

This rat trying to take the Santa on the Moon ornament is my interpretation of the Christmas Tree theme. It is ACEO sized (2.5"x3.5") To see all the art go to eBay and put NFAC in the search bar, or click my rat to see my auction and a link to all the other entries.

Another fun themed art contest is from the ACEO group founded by bone*diva. This themed contest begins the first of every month, with a price starting of $4.99. The art must be ACEO sized since it is after all, the ACEO group. So look for this contest on December 1st, search eBay for ACEO TW.
